Thank you for the outpouring of hope.

Restoring Hope

Since July 29, more than 3 million people supported The ALS Association through the Ice Bucket Challenge. Locally, The ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter has received over $1 million in support of local care programs to help Northern Ohioans living with ALS.

Thanks to this generosity, the Northern Ohio Chapter has launched the ALS Care Grant Program, which offers grants to families to help cover the costs of ALS care not typically covered by insurance. Over the next three years, the Chapter will invest a minimum of $100,000 per year in the ALS Care Grant Program. The Chapter is also doubling the budget for the Founders Respite Program, which offers reimbursement to caregivers for up to eight (8) hours per month for a home health aide/nurse, enabling the caregiver to take a much needed break

More than the awareness and support, our families are reporting a sense of hope...for a treatment, a cure, a better tomorrow. Thank you to all who have participated in this most amazing outpouring of support in the history of The ALS Association.
